Thanksgiving 2009

Here are a few pics of Thanksgiving. We were missing Missy and Brittany this year as Brittany was in labour. We are still waiting to hear the news of the new addition. Milo had fun... and didn't want to go home as usual. It was nice driving the new wheels there and back.

Our very own Honda Fit!

Here is our first brand new car - a 2010 Honda Fit sport manual in storm silver. It is a beaut, and for a sub compact it feels like driving a big car. With all the driving we are doing and will be doing in the next few years, it was a necessary purchase. Our Mazda currently is over used and has 130,000 miles on the clock.

Milo playing with coins

Here is Milo playing with coins. This is actually a good example of the progress he has made using the developmental intervention DIR/Floortime. 3-6 months ago he would rarely look up when we were talking to him while playing in this manner.. but here you see him regulated with shared attention (developmental level 1) engaged (level 2) responding, in a back and forth flow of conversation ( level 3) he then thinks of what he can buy with the coins, in this case, food (pretend play -level 5)

First day of Preschool for Pork Chop!

So Milo is growing up. He started developmental preschool today, complete with a huge backpack (american style!) He looks a little nervous doesn't he?

Puppy for 2 minutes!

So Molly, Milo's OT leant him her son's old Halloween outfit.. I persuaded Milo to put it on on Saturday.. he obliged but it was off again within a couple of minutes. Cute though!
