Milo is two! He woke up and was bombarded with cards and presents, and was probably wondering what it was all about. From his Uncle Jon and Auntie Caroline he got a lovely tin box with an elephant on the front (see pic) this was filled with English chocolates.. yum.., a bracelet, a cuddly dolphin and a tiger whistle. From his Grandparents in England he got a box set of 2 picture books, a big alphabet puzzle and a sticker book. Some money from his Auntie Dorothy in England, and from us so far he got two books, a selection of sand toys (he has a collection now) and a puzzle. We will need to rotate his toys now I think!
This afternoon we had a little party for him with a couple of friends and their children. Diana and her two girls, Naomi and Ava had bought Milo a couple of presents, and as soon as they walked in and Milo saw a handle sticking out of the birthday present, he was over there pounching on his.. his ultimate toy, a spade over half the size of him! He would not let it out of his sight, and if anyone touched it he lost it completely. (He has not learnt to share properly yet) But he was busy holding that till bedtime! When Philena turned up with Owen we had cake and ice cream.. (no customary jelly and ice cream like in England today) James made his birthday cake, with M&M’s for decoration, and the kids loved those! Milo couldn’t get enough of the vanilla ice cream with the cake. Philena had very kindly bought Milo “The very hungry caterpillar” with a little magnetic fruit pick up game with it. All in all he had a great birthday, even if he had no idea why he was getting presents and having two cakes within a few days of each other!
